French crystal regulator in fancy polished brass case, spring powered time and strike movement, heavy beveled glasses on sides, back and top, the front with latticework panels backed with brass, decorated in a moiré pattern, with an enamel portrait of a lady in formal attire below dial, on a transparent violet enamel background, showing a moiré patterned ground beneath, molded bezel with beveled convex glass, Arabic numeral white enamel dial with flowered swags draped at each numeral, excellent pierced and engraved brass hour and minute hands, c1910
CONDITION:
Polished brass case good overall, one chip in beveled glass at upper left corner of back door, portrait on enamel of excellent quality and without flaw, original Japy Frères time and strike movement complete with power to escapement and strike train, pendulum replaced, original white enamel dial in excellent condition, original hands excellent.
